Update--July 20, 2000

This has been a fantastic week. My baby girl, creator of my web page, has come to visit me from South Carolina. I don't know when it happened, I just know that I'm the baby and she's the mommy. If she could, she'd run my life from 3,000 miles away. She came out this week with no particular agenda, just to visit her mom and make sure I'm behaving, as I should.

Physically, I sense a real improvement in my condition. I decided, with my doctor's approval, to quit taking a lot of the medications. He agreed. Some of it I was taking for conditions that had existed a long time ago, such as an appetite enhancer. Truth is, I had started eating everything in sight!!! I'm not a health food nut, but I'm becoming more conscientious about what I put into my body. After all, it is the temple of the Holy Ghost.

Spiritually, I'm up!! I just came through a testing time. My leg had swollen. I was retaining fluid and my podiatrist gave me such bad news. I thought I was going to have to go into the hospital. Then I got two months behind on my rent. The enemy wanted me to worry over how it was going to get paid and worry about my swollen leg. God assured me He'd take fare of both situations. He reminded me that HE had provided for me and healed me all these years. Why should he stop now?? Trust me. No, trust HIM. He's an on-time God. Yes he is.

The bible studies are going well. Pray that God will touch the hearts of the residents and that I'll be faithful to what he's called me to do even when it seems non-productive. He promised if we would be faithful over a few things, he would make us ruler over many.
