Lord Jesus,
I thank you for my mother. I thank you for blessing me with the opportunity to know her soul. I thank you for blessing her with the commitment to serve you. I thank you for blessing her and my dad with the commitment to raising their children with the NEED to serve you Lord. On this day that marks the year of the first day that my mother is not with us physically-I thank you Lord for the ability to close my eyes and draw her near to me. I thank you Lord for the memories of her softness, her gentleness, her kind and loving spirit. I miss her Lord. I miss her so-but I rejoice in knowing that she is at peace.
I know that the devil comes to rob, steal, kill and destroy. I know that the devil is what took my mother from me-he stole her health. I know that you come so that we may have life, and have it in abundance. I know that we are but vessels in which to do your will Lord Jesus. I thank you for my mother's stewardship to you dear Father. I thank you for the abundance in her life. I thank you for the many people that have been blessed in your name. I thank you for revealing your self to me DAILY as I seek to abide in your goodness. I thank you for allowing me to see your face precious Lord. I thank you for blessing me with the ability to be obedient to your word. I thank you for blessing me with the gift of understanding the internet-to use a tool that reaches thousands so they can have a place to come and pay tribute to your good and faithful servant in your name Lord Jesus.
So on this day Lord, I humbly pray a prayer of thanks for your goodness, your mercy, and your grace. I go on from this day to commit to live my life as my parents prayed and reared me to do. To live my life to do your will and to help others know of your goodness. Amen.
