: : I REALLY appreciated how Danniebelle would put at least one hymn on each of her albums. Even though we "young folks" were hungry for anything contemporary (just like kids are today), she would put a classic hymn on that was not "dressed up"-to sound-hip. Just a plain classic hymn, Danniebelle-style. That's how I memorized ALL of the words to "Great is Thy Faithfulness!" Others included:
: : He Giveth More Grace
: : God Leads His Children Along
: : Day by Day
: : I'd Rather Have Jesus, etc.

: Absolutely! I loved and still love everything she ever recorded. I think hymns of "back in the day" are powerful and timeless, and should not be forgotten. I try to include at least one hymn whenever I conduct praise and worship at church. They arent' "contemporary" but they are "powerful." Those writers knew of whom the wrote and sung about--real and true convictions that can be felt if you allow the message within those songs to bless and touch your heart! :-)
