Cynthia:
I met your mother years ago while she toured with Andrae Crouch and the Disciples and Bea Carr was her roommate on the road, while living in Columbia, South Carolina. She was very kind to me, allowed me to hang out with her, etc. I was a college student then, because she really liked my spirit, she even came with me to meet my mother, who allowed me to drive to Jesus '76 in Charlotte, North Carolina with your mom and Bea in my Gremlin! Your mom used to call me "Lil' Bit'" cause back then I was exactly that. I also was blessed with the opportunity to run into your mother with Shirley Miller in Chicago when I had married and had my daughters.
I cannot tell you the numerous times I have sung "Ordinary People" and how the message touched my life. I cannot tell you how many times her words of love and wisdom have poured over my soul in times of despair and gave me the hope to continue and have faith despite how black my life was. She was such a savvy and down-to-earth sister and the laughter and friendship we shared was so beautiful and much appreciated.
My husband and I comprise GFactor, we are an anointed music ministry with an eclectic format. The title track "Openly and Honestly" was written based on my approach to life in Christ, largely based on things Danniebelle shared with me while I had the blessing of hanging out with her. No-one more real yet spiritually solid. It immediately reduced me to tears to hear she had passed from this side, but I know she is with our Lord. I really wanted her to hear our project because I know it would have blessed her.
We have endured so many struggles and attacks this year getting our project off the ground. We are signed to a small independent label who really does not have a large financial base, but the blessing is in the opportunity to finally record our music. Please pray for us, you know how hard it is to do the simplest of things with limited resources, but we believe the Lord will bless our effort as the interest is already sparked regarding our project.
I am saddened to hear how her health deteriorated, but I know she remained the fabulous sister she always was. I deeply love and miss your mom, and know Jesus is blessed with her presence in His kingdom. May God richly bless you and your family. I hope to meet you someday while we are out in ministry.
